In his role as Regional Vice President, Jeff Mandel develops enterprise-level solutions to generate revenue and reduce operating expenses for professional sports governing bodies, leagues, and member clubs. Mandel joined Worldpay in 2016 after more than a decade of success each in both professional sports administration as well as the payments industry.
Mandel originally entered the payments space with Heartland Payment Systems, where he was in the top 2% of all revenue earners during a 9-year tenure. With experience in SMB, Mid-Market, and National divisions, he also served the company as a sales trainer, and established Heartland University, a company-wide sales training program. Prior to joining Worldpay, he served as Vice President of Sports and Entertainment at First Data.
For 13 years prior, Mandel worked in professional hockey, specializing in establishing minor-league teams for National Hockey League franchises. Working within the minor-league systems for the Detroit Red Wings, New York Islanders, and Philadelphia Flyers, Mandel was part of four championship teams at the AAA and AA levels, and has his name engraved on the ECHL’s Kelly Cup as Chief Operating Officer of the Trenton (NJ) Titans in 2005.
Mandel received a Master of Business Administration with concentrations in both management and marketing from Rutgers University. He also received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Bowling Green University, with degrees in Sport Management and Journalism. A native of East Brunswick, NJ, he lives in Boca Raton, Florida.
